Complete & Balanced Meals.
Our personal favourite. Natures Menu Complete and Balanced raw meals and nuggets, which include the Country Hunter Raw Superfood, Complete and Balanced Raw Meals ,Complete and Balanced Nuggets and of course the natures menu ranges are DEFRA, PFMA and veterinary approved to be a complete food, offering your pet their daily nutritional needs in one simple, easy to serve product.
Mix and Match
If you want to make up meals yourself, our Just Meat complementary products are available in free-flow mince or blocks, and provide the meat content of your homemade raw meal. To this you will need to add our Blended Bite Size Fruit and Vegetable Nuggets or our baked Seriously Mighty Mixer. We recommend a ratio of 80% meat, 20% mighty mixer or 80% meat and 20% blended fruit and vegetable nuggets per meal.
Make your own
If you would rather add your own fruit, veg and/ or grain to the just meat ranges we recommend that a meal should be made up of 60% meat, 20% blended vegetables and 20% non-starchy grain such as brown rice or oats and if you wish to go grain free you can give 80% meat and 20% blended fruit and vegetables.
Raw and Natural Feeding Advice.
Transition whether you choose any options above.
If you don't feel confident enough to make a straight transition onto raw feed, Introduce the raw feed over a 7 to 12 day period, start by 2-3 green tripe.
Transitioning Your Dog To The Raw Diet
Switching to raw couldn't be simpler! Transition your dog over seven days and begin your journey into the wonderful world of raw feeding.
First things first, calculate your dog's daily raw food ration using our a simple calculation of 2.5% adult body weight.
Days 1-7 divide the calculated food into morning and night feeds.
Feed in alternating separate meals -
Ideally meals should be given about 12 hours apart
From day 8 feed Chicken and tripe. 100%
While many healthy dogs can cope without a transition period, we recommend this method to allow the body time to:
Adjust digestive enzyme release
Alter stomach pH
Adapt intestinal microbiome (‘friendly’ bacteria)
Promote healthy digestion and metabolism
We provide also the raw meat unbranded, its easy to calculate requirements, some are dinners and meals, also some are 100%meat and bone, you can then add your own fruit and veg.
60% meat, 20% blended vegetables and 20% non-starchy grain such as brown rice or oats and if you wish to go grain free you can give 80% meat and 20% blended fruit and vegetables.
RAW BONES AND CHEWS
A traditional favourite of the working dog diet. Once your dog has been on the raw diet for 3-4 weeks, we recommend that you also offer bones 1-3 times a week. They provide a fantastic natural source of nutrients as well as helping to keep teeth clean and provide a calming and super-satisfying chew session. We also have a number of natural meaty chews such as beef trachea and beef paddywacks which offer many of the nutritional benefits of bones.
