Hey There
We have been accepting Exempt dogs for over 3 years now.
I have sought advice and clarification from my insurers and although things may yet change, this is how we intend to move forward.
Why are these rules implemented
These are being implemented due to Law in the Uk. Dangerous dog act 1991.
These procedures are subject to change
Field and Dog Park
These rules are in addition to our fields T&Cs.
We now allow off lead and un muzzles pups in all secure areas with 6ft fencing.
Although it is essential you send over your insurance on booking.
Also as a business we have to enforce these rules, due to insurance and other dog owners wish for peace of mind when visiting the fields, as a business we need to look after all clients needs.
We have large breed dogs, ourselves and although they are not exempt we do implement our own rules in this.
We have always allowed banned/exempt breeds since we opened; we have always had rules in place.
We allow exempt breeds in the dog park ,although due to the proximity of the public footpath, we do need to make you aware that public can walk along the green meshed side of the dark park. We do not require muzzles or a lead in the dog park. . We have to ensure your dogs safety, and the publics safety,
The bookings will be 5 minutes shorter to avoid any crossover with other customers.
Dogs will have to be muzzled and on a lead when being taken to/ from the rear 6ft field to the off loading carpark.
Once inside the field/dog park the owners will have to padlock themselves in with their own padlock.
Walk over to the 6ft rear field, making sure all gates are shut;
At this point the lead and muzzle can be removed once in the 6ft rear field./ or 6ft dog park area.
Bookings should be single household only with a minimum ratio of 1 adult to 1 xl bully dog.
Please note if you are a multiple dog household- we allow a maximum of 3 large breed dogs if an XL Bully Is present. We also have these field rules already in place as follows;
-
Multiple dogs- we have always had the rules in place for multiple house hold or groups of dogs. this is in addition to exempt dog(s) rules.
same household- small breeds ( toys ie chichuas dachshunds etc.) 1 handler to 3-4 dogs.
medium breeds ie spaniels to retrievers size 1 handler to 2 dogs. large breeds these are doberman size, bully breeds mastiffs, Great Danes large sight hounds- and up- 1 handler to each dog. This is in place for the health and safety and well being of field users.
Please do not abuse our willingness to support XL Bully owners at this difficult time, please do not ‘meet up’ with others at the field. If you break the law, we will not be able to allow you to book again and you will jeopardise the future for all XL Bullies at our fields.
